The MLB DFS main slate takes a slightly different shape, with DraftKings opting to go with a 10-game contest that includes the Giants vs Rockies game from Coors Field and FanDuel foregoing that game for a nine-game affair. The slate features a fairly tall pitching peak with a wide middle but also a fair amount of offensive potential in spots that are not exclusive to Colorado ballparks. The board sees some of the top teams for power claiming high rankings against a variety of pitchers and the stacks board gives the full picture of value options to help lineup construction. This slate should see a wide net cast over outcomes at the plate with the option of taking a concentrated approach to the pitching pool.
Main Slate Power Index – 9/16/23
The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
