MLB DFS action returns to center stage on Tuesday as the only game in town. The evening main slate features nine games on FanDuel and 10 on DraftKings, with the inclusion of the second game of the Yankees vs Red Sox doubleheader on that site. The board is loaded with opportunities at the plate and there are plenty of quality arms to work with on the mound, leading to a nicely balanced slate that allows one to stretch out and dig into specific positions, or cast a broad net depending on preferences and contest structure. There is a game with explosive potential at Coors Field, the Dodgers and Padres are both drawing big marks, the Yankees have power potential in Fenway and several of the league’s better teams are occupying prime real estate on the power index and stacks board today.
Main Slate Power Index – 9/12/23
The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
