MLB DFS: Power Index – 9/11/23 – DraftKings & FanDuel Main Slates

The MLB DFS Monday main slate features 11 games on both DraftKings and FanDuel, with the latter site providing only limited prize pools for their contests with Monday Night Football to worry about. The DraftKings contests feature a full prize pool and should be anyone’s focus if playing this slate at all. The board features a loaded hitting pool and very good pitching with gems on both sides. The Dodgers are leading the day for power against Pedro Avila, the devastated Yankees will try to live up to the power pace set by fallen young teammate Jasson Dominguez, who was diagnosed with a torn UCL after his torrid start, the Diamondbacks, Padres, Astros, and Mets all look viable for big games, and the Cubs are drawing monster projection marks and good mid-level home run potential in a Coors Field game. There is a solid handful of pitchers at the top of the board, making this a day on which a concentrated pitching pool and a broad spread of bats should work nicely.

Main Slate Power Index – 9/11/23

The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
