The Tuesday evening MLB DFS main slate sees 11 games land on both DraftKings and FanDuel with a traditional 7:05 ET start time. The board is littered once again with quality teams going up against lesser pitchers which should lead to a high-scoring day at the plate. There are a handful of high-end starters available as well and a broad but somewhat shaky mid-range of the pitching slate, which should lead to a very interesting night that could see some unique lineup combinations take the day.
Main Slate Power Index – 8/08/23
The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
Note: the innings projection for Kutter Crawford was adjusted, he ranks 12th in a tightly-packed fairly low-end mid-board.
