MLB DFS: Power Index – 7/7/23 – DraftKings & FanDuel Main Slates

A jam-packed Friday night main slate features 12 games on both DraftKings and FanDuel with a bit of everything plus the kitchen sink on the board. The slate offers premium aces at a variety of price points and matchup quality levels, there are a few punching bag starters who are yielding excellent potential for run creation and power to some of the top teams in the sport, and there are a few value options both on the mound and at the plate. A 12-game slate naturally dictates a broad spread of lineups to cover a wide range of potential outcomes, it should be relatively easy to occupy a few positions at above-the-field levels of exposure while remaining engaged with the most popular options in a variety of combinations throughout lineups.

Main Slate Power Index – 7/7/23

The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
