Tuesday evening brings a 12-game main slate on both DraftKings and FanDuel and the board is absolutely bursting with pitching options. There are numerous high-end pitchers in good spots, but there are also a few clunkers that are targetable for power potential at the plate. The slate is spread into several distinct tiers with the Braves dominating the board against a bullpen game that should feature a few Nick Pivetta innings but may not, regardless of who we put into that spot Atlanta is leading the way for power on this slate in a bullpen game. The Mets are flashing premium potential in Yankee Stadium against a starter with home run hiccups, the Astros are looking to roll through their intrastate battle, and other options like the White Sox and Diamondbacks are in interesting spots against targetable starters. The board demands a broad spread both at the plate and on the mound, there are many good options among the 24 teams tonight.

The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
