The Sunday main slate includes 10 games on DraftKings and FanDuel with a 1:35 ET start time on both sites and all 10 games starting within an hour of one another in what should make for a fun afternoon sprint. The board is topped with significant potential for power at the plate from some of the familiar hard-hitting teams in premium matchups but there is also a wealth of good pitching on this slate that should lead to a broad slate of similar potential outcomes. With many interchangeable parts on the mound, getting to a blend of the favored pitching options with premium stacks at fair ownership should be relatively easy this afternoon.
Main Slate Power Index – 7/23/23
The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
