MLB DFS: Power Index – 6/7/23 – DraftKings & FanDuel Main Slates

The 10-game MLB DFS main slates on DraftKings and FanDuel are loaded with opportunity at the plate and significantly less so on the mound. With the Dodgers pulling in all the runs in their cakewalk matchup in Cincinnati and the Giants piling on in a Coors Field game, there is a fairly predictable top end of the board that is then followed by a collection of good teams against easily targeted pitching. With Logan Webb on the hill for the Giants, the light-hitting Rockies land dead last for home run upside, but that does not mean that they are off the board for stacking purposes, it is still Coors and even a groundball specialist like Webb can run into trouble in that cavernous ballpark. Today’s slate seems somewhat short on pitching, though there are several good options that everyone will chase and potentially a few sneaky plays to be made, the bats appear to be the key to success, landing on the right side stack to go with your chalk hitter platter will be what unlocks the top of standings today.

Main Slate Power Index – 6/7/23 – DraftKings & FanDuel Main Slates

The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
