MLB DFS: Power Index – 6/16/23 – DraftKings & FanDuel Main Slates

A huge 14-game Friday night main slate on DraftKings and FanDuel brings opportunities galore for MLB DFS gamers. There are several premium aces, though a few face one another and stiff competition, and some excellent options for building team stacks with talented players in good situations. There may even be a few sneaky spots to offset popularity on the massive slate. The White Sox hit four solo home runs after leading our power index last night, we would hope that they repeat the trick but with runners on base tonight against a rookie starter. The Cardinals and Blue Jays are also in prominent roles toward the top of the board, and the Pirates are drawing good power marks against Julio Teheran, who has to go bust at some point.

Main Slate Power Index – 6/16/23

The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
