MLB DFS: Power Index – 6/14/23 – DraftKings & FanDuel Main Slates

There will be no rest for Wednesday’s weak and weary MLB DFS gamers, with a 12-game slate following yesterday’s monster. Today’s action takes a similar shape with a handful of premium options on the mound and a fairly good mid-range of playable pitching before things fall off a cliff. The top of the Power Index is leading directly to a few of the weaker starters on the slate, including Luis Medina, Josiah Gray, and Osvaldo Bido, but there are also danger spots with pitchers like Andrew Heaney, who could show up as Good Heaney and post a big strikeout night, Bad Heaney is the one we’re looking for if we book some Angels’ power potential. Make sure to check out our new Stack Selections feature for a good look at how things come together with projections and value included.

Main Slate Power Index – 6/14/23

The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
