A massive 14-game Tuesday slate has us behind schedule for MLB DFS coverage already. The DraftKings and FanDuel main slates get underway at 7:05 ET and are loaded with talent on both sides of the game. A number of premium pitchers are taking the mound, including Zack Wheeler, Hunter Brown, Alex Cobb, Corbin Burnes, Luis Severino, and others, most of whom can be found toward the bottom of the Power Index. The pitching slate also includes some favorite targets like Cody Bradford and Patrick Corbin, meaning this is a day to get broad with coverage in lineup constructions.
Main Slate Power Index – 6/13/23
The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
