MLB DFS: Power Index – 6/11/23 – DraftKings & FanDuel Main Slates

The deep 11-game main slate (10 on DraftKings) has a significant amount of premium pitching on both FanDuel and DraftKings on Sunday afternoon. The contests get started with an odd 12:40 ET start time due to a change to account for weather in Cleveland, although FanDuel is still listing a 1:35 start time despite changing the game itself in their contest. The slate is somewhat light on obvious power potential, with so many good starters taking the mound for their teams, but there are several options from among our most commonly featured power-hitting teams, including the Braves, Rays, Cardinals, and Phillies. The FanDuel slate also includes a Coors Field game with a lofty run total and clear power on board.

Main Slate Power Index – 6/11/23

The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
