The eight-game MLB DFS main slate starts at 1:35 ET this afternoon on both DraftKings and FanDuel, with a relatively loaded board for power. Three hard-hitting teams land near the top of the board today in premium matchups against flammable pitchers. There are a few good options on the mound and a fairly broad mid-range, but the slate seems like one that will be won primarily at the plate again on Sunday. The matchups for the Giants and Cardinals at the top of the board could not be better for power upside, while the Orioles and Rangers could provide explosive upside for scoring in their faceoff in Baltimore. The Yankees and Padres are showing mid-range power, carried primarily by the stars on either side, but both teams will be facing premium pitching in a matchup between Yu Darvish and Gerrit Cole, which pushes the two top-heavy squads down our list of preferred stacks to a degree.

This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
