MLB DFS: Power Index – 5/30/23 – DraftKings & FanDuel Main Slates

The largest main slate of the season so far sees 13 games on both DraftKings and FanDuel with a standard 7:05 ET start. With 26 teams in play, there is a little bit of everything available on this slate, including a strong top-end of the Power Index with some of the best teams in the game drawing high-quality marks for home run potential. The board features a broad range of pitching at a variety of prices, several of the quality arms on the slate also give up a bit of power and appear near the top of these rankings while still maintaining adequate-to-good projections in our pitching model. With so much to choose from it will be easy to create unique high-quality constructions with essentially any combination of hitters and pitchers that fits under the salary cap.

Main Slate Power Index – 5/30/23 – DraftKings & FanDuel Main Slates

The power index represents a team’s opportunity for home run upside in the matchup against the scheduled starting pitcher. This is not a direct guideline for stacking, but it can be utilized to determine the most likely sources of power-based contact, hitters who are not homering are frequently hitting doubles and driving in runs, and providing valuable MLB DFS scoring. The “Full” column averages our home run opportunity score for each player in the lineup from 1-9, while the “Top 6” column averages only hitters 1-6, where teams typically place their most significant bats.
